New traffic pattern for Park Avenue Gate
There will be two lanes for cars driving into the fair. The left lane is for credit card purchases (or cash). The right lane is cash only. There is also a new pattern for walk-ins that moves them away from vehicle traffic for improved safety. See the diagram below.
New Bypass Gate
There is a new entrance from the Eastern Nicholasville Bypass (KY2827) and a new admissions gate by the livestock barns. This gate can be accessed from the new bypass or from Longview Drive. The Bypass Gate is the preferred gate for trucks with trailers, livestock exhibitors and motorsports competitors. The entrance is not well-marked yet but you’ll be able to see the fairgrounds before you reach the turn. In the event that the Bypass Gate isn’t open, you can still use the bypass entrance to reach the Park Avenue gate.
