 RULES

  1. Registration certificate must be presented for English Breeding cattle that are 140 days old.
  2. Registration certificate must be presented for Exotic Breeding cattle that are 140 days old.
  3. All cattle must have health certificates.
  4. Exhibitors limited to two ribbons and two monies in any class.
  5. Cattle shown in Simmental classes must be at least 7/8.
  6. Straw will be the only bedding allowed in the barn.
  7. Animals should be free of mud-tags and other foreign matter at time of weigh in.
  8. Animals must be paraded at the call of the Superintendent. Second place animal standing to 1st place Champion must show for Reserve in all Champion classes otherwise premiums will be forfeited.
  9. Market animals must be on the grounds and weighed in by 5:00 p.m.
  10. Market animals must be nominated and KUIP ear tagged for Kentucky State Fair and District Beef Show.
  11. Entries for all animals will close at 6:00 p.m.
  12. Any announcement made by the committee on the day of show takes precedence over any printed material.
  13. The committee has the right to add or delete classes due to lack of entries.

MARKET ANIMALS will be weighed and placed into classes according to weight.  Each market animal entered will be assigned a class.  Additional classes for market animals will be added as needed beginning with B-5, B-6, etc.

RULES

  1. Heifers, market animals, and showmanship open to all Jessamine County 4-H and FFA members enrolled in beef projects.
  2. All 4-H and FFA rules will apply
  3. General rules for open show apply.
  4. Cattle shown in Simmental class must be at least 7/8.
  5. Registration certificate must be presented for English Breeding Cattle that are 140 days old.
  6. Registration certificate must be presented for Exotic cattle that are 250 days old.
  7. Youth placed on Danish system, $500 for beef.
  8. All animals should be free of mud-tags and other foreign matter at time of show.
  9. Market animals must be nominated and KUIP ear-tagged for Kentucky State Fair and District Beef Show.
  10. Animals must be paraded at the call of the superintendent. Second place animal standing to 1st place Champion must show for Reserve in all Champion Classes otherwise premiums will be forfeited.
  11. Any announcement from the committee on the day of show takes precedence over any printed material.
  12. The committee has the right to add or delete any class for lack of entries.
  13. Exhibitors are expected to show their own animals. The only exception is when an exhibitor has 2 animals in a class, then another youth may show the second animal.
