All entries must be on the Fair Ground and weighted by 6:00 p.m.
Youth Market Lambs will be shown by breeds – BFX, Hampshire, Natural, Southdown, Suffolk, WFX
The superintendent or their representative will weigh all Market Lambs prior to show. Scales will be open from 4:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. A list of weight divisions will be posted. All market lambs must be shown sheared slick.
The 1st and 2nd individual animals in each breed classes will be considered in the Breed Champion and the Breed Champion and Reserve with compete in Open Champion Market Lamb and Reserve Championship Market Lamb.
Exhibitors limited to two ribbons and two monies in any class.
Novice Market Lamb & Open Youth Market Lamb Classes will not have more than 15 lambs per class.
Youth exhibitors must show their own animal unless they have two in one class. Novice exhibitors must show their own animal and if they have two in one class they can have a youth under twelve to show other lamb.
Jessamine County Youth will be awarded on the Danish system.
Show Order is Senior Showmanship through Novice Showmanship than Novice Market Lambs to Open Youth Market Lambs.
MARKET LAMB CLASSES:
Novice Market Lamb (lamb owner must be under 9 years old as of 1/1/2019)
Open Youth Market Lamb (lamb owners must be over 9 years old to 21 years old as of 1/1/2019)
